Working With Metal

Jewellery stalls set up in areas of heavy foot traffic in KL, indoors or outdoors are a common sight - but rarely do we get an insight into the realm of smithing involved in creating these trinkets. Yap Lee Lin, one of the co-founders of Tribal Spirit Workshop started out as one such stall, eventually deciding to take the next step of the business to set up public workshops to teach people the handiwork involved in working with metal. Lee Lin joins us on this episode to talk about the virtues of creating your own metal accessories and her hopes for more of the intrepid public to pick up on the craft.
