Two matters most plague Malaysia’s plastics manufacturers.
First, an enmity towards their trade by politicians and public alike that they say can only be solved by more responsible disposal because the technology to replace plastics in food packaging hasn’t yet arrived.
And second, a crushing labour shortage that has crippled production and limited business — but which it says can be solved.
