Market watchers are divided on the question of whether companies should be given more time to adhere to strict corporate liability provisions under Section 17 of the MACC Act due to the fallout from Covid-19.

But, Lya Rahman of the Institutional Investors Council Malaysia (IIC) says companies must begin complying now.
