We turn our attention to India, at one point, the world’s fastest growing large economy, but for the past two years, growth has tumbled, reaching a six-year low of 4.7% in the last quarter of 2019. Adding to its problem, the recent sectarian violence has killed at least 47 people and injured close to 400. Covid-19 cases are also climbing rapidly, and Liuqing Yu, Country Analyst, at the Economist Intelligence Unit, thinks India is not well-prepared to deal with any potential outbreak.
