榴莲是大马水果之王，品种众多，味道浓郁，而这样优质的水果，理应畅销全球。虽然在过去5年，我国榴莲出口也写下了107%的快速增长，并在2020年达到3千4百70万美元的记录。但如果和泰国榴莲出口量相比较，那真的是小巫见大巫，因为单是泰国榴莲一个月的出口量就将近10亿美元。
