Alistair Barrie is one of those names you’ve probably heard of throughout any comedy house in the world. He is a man who has been there and done that, literally! He’s travelled all across the globe and performed in countries such as the United States, Australia, Switzerland, the UK, Prague, Abu Dhabi, Macau, Singapore, Malaysia and even on a ship in the North Sea and at the top of a mountain in France.
He is also one of the core members of The Cutting Edge team at London’s Comedy Store, which is a widely known comedy house in Europe. His enormous list of gigs have racked up over many years that he’s been making people laugh. One of them includes the famous Edinburgh Festival, which is the world’s largest arts festival, and he has performed there a total of 7 times.
Other than that, he has created a comedians’ farewell show for George W. Bush called ‘Bye George’ in 2009, his 2012 and 2015 shows called ‘Urban Fogey’ and ‘No More Stage Three’ were both runner ups for best show at the Fringe In The Amused Moose Laughter Awards respectively. Besides that, he’s also appeared on TV shows like Never Mind The Buzzcocks and Friday Night with Jonathan Ross, news shows and even radio.
He recently headlined his own show at the Crackhouse Comedy Club in KL.
