Manufacturing nostalgia is big business across the world, and KL is no exception. Despite this collective longing for the past, our very own living heritage is crumbling in front of our eyes. Today we visit two cafes in central KL: Yut Kee, a Hainanese Coffee shop that has been open since 1928 but is forced to move in a couple of months as well as Old China Cafe that curates the old-age feel through antiques, food and it’s heritage location.
