A Bit of Culture: Sick Lit

After the vampire bubble burst, young adult fiction has entered a dark and twisty phase known as “Sick Lit” which deals with death, depression and self harm. Are these topics too adult for young minds, or do they perhaps reflect the anxiety and alienation of teenage-dom that we all count ourselves lucky to have survived? Then a blast for the recent past, as we revisit the Disney movie “Frozen”, Was it really any good? Before finally facing up to our well worn stereotypes.
