Of Flies and Men

An excerpt from Fredrik Sjöberg’s The Fly Trap is an odd, intriguing read that focuses on one man’s singular obsession: the narcissus fly. From there, it spans out to encompassing xenophobia in nature and the fanatical nature of collecting. Yao Hua also tries to do his part to get people to see the beauty of not just the narcissus fly, but also of the cockroach.
