The Refugee Marketplace

With about 150,000 refugees and asylum-seekers in the country, many well-meaning corporations that want to help don’t know where to go or where to start. In conjunction with this year’s World Refugee Day, UNHCR Malaysia is putting together a CSR event called the “Marketplace” to connect the private sector and individuals with local NGOs doing work to alleviate the plight of refugees. UNHCR’s Malaysia’s Yante Ismail tells us more about the event.
