In 1948, tens of thousands of Palestinian villagers were driven from their homes to make way for settlers in the newly created state of Israel. Discussing how that incident still haunts the daily lives of every living Palestinians today are journalist Laila El Haddad and documentary filmmaker Yasmine Perni. They are in Malaysia for the 2014 Kuala Lumpur Palestine Film Festival, taking place from the 6th to 7th September. Joining them is Yuzaidi Yusoff from Viva Palestina Malaysia, whose organization is responsible for putting together the festival.
