“The Act of Killing” is a BAFTA-winning and Academy Award-nominated documentary on the Indonesian anti-communist purge during 1965-66 where more than 500,000 were killed. We ask director Joshua Oppenheimer why he decided on this subject and how critical acclaims have affected public reception of the film.
Those interested can attend a public screening of the movie at 8pm, 18th and 19th March, 2014, at Palate Palette, 21 Jalan Mesui, Kuala Lumpur. The screening is arranged by Esquire Malaysia, and tickets cost RM10 per person.
