Access to affordable health services and to comprehensive health information are fundamental human rights. But gender-based discrimination can prevent these rights from being realised for many women and girls. We discuss how this is a problem with Suloshini Jahananth, the Marketing and Social Enterprises Coordinator with the YWCA in Darwin, who was also formerly with the Asian Pacific Resource and Research Centre for Women (ARROW) in Kuala Lumpur.
