The Ministry of Health's Teen Pregnancy Statistics Manual reported 18,652 and 18,847 teen pregnancies in 2011 and 2012 respectively, which translates to about 51 teen pregnancies a day. More worryingly, about 3 out of every 10 teen births occur out of wedlock. Why is teen pregnancy on the rise in Malaysia?
