Reforming Higher Education in Indonesia

We speak to Professor Satryo S Brodjonegoro, the vice president of the Indonesian Academy of Sciences about the relationship between education and development and also why the quality of higher education should be judged in terms of outputs and the contributions it makes to national development. He also speaks about his personal quest and efforts to reform the higher education system in Indonesia, both during and after his term as Director General of the Higher Education Ministry of National Education in Indonesia.
