On this episode, Dr Nik Salida talks to us about the compatibility of religious values and human rights principles - with reference to public caning, unilateral conversion and gender equality.
Dr Nik Salida is a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Syariah and Law, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia. She specializes in Islamic laws on human rights and women, as well as Islamic family law. In June 2016, she was appointed to a three-year term.
