In conjunction with World Press Freedom Day tomorrow, we explore the state of freedom of expression in Malaysia by looking at two landmark cases - One involves the banning of a book published by Sisters in Islam (SIS) called "Muslim Women and the Challenge of Islamic Extremism" a ban which was eventually overturned, and the other is Malaysiakini's ongoing effort to secure a newspaper permit. Human rights lawyer Malik Imtiaz Sarwar, who represented SIS, and Malaysiakini's CEO Premesh Chandran join us for a discussion on this and the limits of free speech.
