As of March this year, more than three thousand children have registered as disabled people at 925 schools nationwide, five percent of which are children on the autistic spectrum disorder, with many more going undiagnosed due to a lack of access medically and financially. The Institute of Democracy and Economic Affairs, a think-tank based in KL, views this as an education issue and has taken a novel approach to address it.
