The theory of multiple intelligences, developed in 1983 by Dr. Howard Gardner, a professor of education at Harvard University, suggests that the traditional notion of intelligence, based on I.Q. testing, is far too limited. He instead proposed eight different intelligences to account for a broader range of human potential in children and adults.
We explore Garder's theory with psychologist Dr. Goh Chee Leong, and how it stacks up today, nearly 30 years since its introduction rocked the world.
