With a lack of uniformity in the practice by the courts with concerns to family matters, The Bar Council has considered and supports the proposal to establish a Family Court here in Malaysia.
Family lawyer Vicky Alahakone also supports this idea, explaining the current failings of the courts, especially when it comes to dealing with cases involving children.
She speaks of how the establishment of a family court in Malaysia would help inject a more humanitarian aspect into the resolution of family and matrimonial matters.
