The Return to Work Programme was first introduced by the Social Security Organization, or SOCSO, in 2007. It is a comprehensive rehabilitative scheme to assist employees with disability who want to return to the workforce. As of July this year, more than 11,000 people have benefited from this initiative. We speak to SOCSO’s CEO Dato’ Dr. Mohammed Azman Aziz Mohammed about the challenges this programme face, and what we can do to make workplaces more disabled-friendly.
