Activists play an important role in pushing forward legislation and policy reform for the betterment of society. Real change is often slow and difficult to implement, and many activists will not see the results of their hard work within their lifetimes. Millions of people contribute towards the wheels of change with no recognition for their efforts, and often times will have to resort to using their own money and resources. It is easy to give up and become disillusioned when facing an uphill battle, so what should activists do to keep their spirits going? We talk to Juana Jaafar, an advocate and experienced social worker about battling activism fatigue.
