The Centre for Malaysian Indigenous Studies and the Faculty of Law at the University of Malaya will host an international conference on "Access to Justice for Indigenous Peoples" in April. We speak to Associate Professor Dr. Ramy Bulan, who heads the centre, about pressing issues concerning indigenous population both in Malaysia and abroad. This includes discussion on access to justice and human rights for indigenous communities, as well as looking at effective mechanisms for participation in decision-making relating to their rights and interests.
