The latest discovery of a Buddhist temple structure and statues at the Bukit Choras Archaeological Site in Yan, Kedah, has been an exciting one as archaeologists say that it could date back to the 8th or 9th century AD, more than 1,200 years ago.
To tell us more about that discovery and what significance it has for our understanding of the history of the archaeological sites in the area, including at the Bujang Valley, is Dr Nasha Rodziadi Khaw, archaeologist and researcher at the Global Archaeology Research Centre, who is leading the team at the dig site.
