Brain Waves #19: What We Learn From Animals

Studies with animals to look at learning and memory have led to Nobel Prizes. One of the more recent ones was the 2014 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for the discovery of our "inner GPS" based on studies on rats, which we have discussed on Episode 3 of Brain Waves. How has studying animal behaviour helped us learn more about ourselves? Resident neuroscientist and geneticist Dr Azlina Ahmad Annuar joins us this month to discuss some of the other key discoveries made through these studies.
