Our doctor-in-the-house, consultant urologist Dr. George Lee recounts an interesting case, where a mother and her son travelled from Australia, to seek treatment in Malaysia - the mother wanted her 25-year old son to have a vasectomy.
Claiming her son suffered from mild learning difficulties, she was keen to have her son undergo the procedure to prevent any unwanted pregnancies from occuring.
This raises questions of ethics - who has the right to decide if a person can and should become a father, good or otherwise?
