However, AFM now wishes to intervene before the condition reaches the end stage by providing access to effective treatment. Today, President of AFM, Dr Sargunan Sockalingam focuses on ankylosing spondylitis, a form of disease that affects young adults, with its symptoms starting as early as 17 to below 40 years old.
