On the back of a recent BBC report that stated that the ratio of oesophageal cancer of men to women was a startling 3:1 and that the numbers kept growing, Dr. George Lee decided to take a closer look at this cancer. One in which the symptoms are often easily ignored and for which the prognosis can be very poor, it's also claimed the lives of luminaries such as Christopher Hitchens and Humphrey Bogart.
Dr. George is joined by Professor Chin Kin Fah in trying to make sense of this disease and to understand the numbers.
