After Malaysia was born as a nation, we took good care of our mothers and infants, by building up a vast network of rural healthcare. This resulted in low maternal and infant mortality rates for many years. On Public Health, consultant ob-gyn Dr John Teo joins Azrul Mohd Khalib, from the Galen Centre for Health & Social Policy, to discuss why this is an alarming statistic, and what measures are important to ensure that the trend does not continue.
