In the two years since COVID-19 was first detected, we’ve learned so much about the disease and its impact and yet there is still so much we don’t know. In a recent study, scientists have discovered that even a mild case of COVID-19 could result in changes to the brain, or more specifically a slight shrinking in the size of the brain. On the surface, this seems alarming but we’ll find out more about what we should and shouldn’t be worried about from one of the authors of that study, Dr Soojin Lee, from the University of Oxford.
