World Refugee Day is marked annually on the 20th of June and here in Malaysia, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) have lined up a weekend of events to help Malaysians better understand the refugees and their situation.
Yante Ismail, UNHCR External Relations Officer here in Malaysia, plugs the upcoming events, while enlightening us about the refugee situation here in Malaysia, the country's stand towards these asylum seekers and the UNHCR's role in helping them when they are here.
