Pusaka takes us back to the country’s traditional dances. Here is a dance that is performed to appease or invoke the spirits of the sea. This pre-Islamic performance is associated with a story about a sea-princess and a fisherman which precipitated in a war between man and sea-spirits. Of course, both eventually arrived at a happy resolution followed by sacrifices to appease the sea and all that live there.
