Rising Son, the Musical

A musical which focuses on three childhood friends leaving their homeland together to settle in British Malaya. But life with its twists and turns can make best of friends the worst of enemies. The story is set in Japanese-occupied Perak. Paul Baker says, '2014 marks the centenary of the start of World War.  It was started by a lone assassin and could have been dealt with easily were it not for the pride, resentment and lack of forgiveness on the part of the countries involved. These negative human characteristics catapulted Europe into a war and into a scale of killing never before seen where an entire generation of men was lost in the senseless slaughter.'
