The artist tells how his love for language and words, early exposure to sufi poems and his spiritual beliefs inform his writings. But then he also grew up in the urban landscape filled with the sounds of hip-hop. Out of these a melding of traditions which produces an unapolegically religious and spiritual contemporary sound.
