The Temple of Fine Arts pays homage to greats of the Karnatic Music scene, both past and present, in the upcoming Karnatic Music Festival 2011.
Themed Aradhana and Arohana respectively for each day, the festival promises to be a treat for fans, and an eye opener for those of us unfamiliar with this classical style of Indian music.
Sitarist Kumar Karthigesu and maestro vocalist and flautist Sampagodu S. Vighnaraja give us a quick history lesson on this ancient form with its divine origins, and tell us what the festival has in store.
