This year's festival also features works by Thai filmmakers, and Pleethum Triyakasem, from Thailand's Rangkid Group (who promote democracy through the use of media) and Dr. Pimrapaat Dusadeeisariyakul, a funder from the Friedrich Naumann Foundation (a non-profit organisation that promotes liberal democracy, economic freedom, rule of law and respect for human rights), discuss the Thai films that will be featured, while touching on democracy and the role film can play in championing freedom.
