Said to have been born in New York back in 1972, Contact Improvisation's dance style and technique is based on improvisation, in which the dancers support and utilize each others body weight while in motion.
Contact Improv dance teacher Ulla Makinen and dancer Gene Broadway, participants of the Contact Festival Kuala Lumpur, tell us more about this dance form and its uninhibited ways, and also the festival in KL they've come from afar to be apart of.
