Described as one of New York City's foremost cultural ambassadors, the Battery Dance Company has been teaching, presenting and advocating dance, on both a local and global scale for some three decades now.
The company is in town to work with Malaysian dance students and choreographers, and also youth from the United Nations High Commission for Refugees, to present a performance titled An Informal Showing of Dance.
Jonathan Hollander, the founder, choreographer and artistic director of Battery Dance Company, who helped moderate the whole program, tells us what's in store.
