The Bigger Picture · Beyond The Ballot Box · 9 Jan 2024 · 36 mins listen
It’s been close to 3 years now since the military coup in Myanmar that took place in February 2021. A lot has happened since then. Immediately after the coup, millions took to the streets in a peaceful civil disobedience movement to call for the restoration of democracy. We speak to Thinzar Shunlei Yi, pro-democracy activist from Myanmar. She’s also the advocacy Coordinator with grassroots coalition Action Committee for Democracy Development (ACDD).
