Chris Tan answers your legal queries. This week, Peter Tan asked the following: "My late mother, a retired civil servant, passed away 2 years ago. She bought a house under government loan for 25 years. The last date of the completion of the said loan was 5 months after she passed away. Since the house was registered under her name, please advise on how the property can be transferred to me. At present I am renting out the house to my mother's friend and they wish to buy the house."
