Mary Buffett, former daughter-in-law of the famous investor Warren Buffet and a best-selling author, international speaker, consultant and environmental activist based in Santa Monica, talks about Warren Buffet's investing principles in picking companies. These include buying companies and businesses rather than stocks trading, the need for predictability, consistently high rates of return on equity, the ‘margin of error’and to 'Never buy IPOs on any day that has a 'Y' in it.'
She also talks about Americans' infatuation with the stock market, the Oliver Stone movie 'Wall Street', and how Buffet neutralises human emotion in the stock market. She also offers some personal anecdotes on the great man.
