The Implications of P3, 2M and O3

The formation of alliances by the world's largest shipping companies is a reflection of the state of shipping capacity oversupply. While Westports loses volume coming from 2M, it will be a net gainer from the O3 or Ocean Three alliance.

We also discuss Malaysia's strategic location as a transshipment hub. Moving forward Westports doesn't believe that size is everything and there is no need to achieve the size of the likes of Singapore's port at all costs but they do want to grow with their customers.
