Johor’s Halal Aspirations

Increasing “halal certification” awareness among consumers is spurring growth in “halal” manufacturing. And the Johor Halal Park, the preferred name for the UMLand joint venture with the Johor state government, plans to ride this wave. It is positioning itself as a 100% halal - differentiating itself from the two dozen already existing halal parks in the country - as well as leveraging on its proximity to Singapore.
