The region is still enveloped by haze, and palm oil companies are bearing the brunt of scrutiny.
The Indonesian government has named 4 Malaysian companies among the 30 accused of contributing to the haze with open burning.
Primary Industries Minister, Teresa Kok, said the government will not protect the Malaysian companies alleged to have caused the forest fires in Indonesia if such claims are proven true.
However, the Malaysian Palm Oil Association (MPOA) has refuted allegations that Malaysian palm oil plantations caused the fires.
We speak to Datuk Franki Anthony Dass, the Chairman of the Malaysian Palm Oil Association, to get a clearer picture of the situation.
