Despite the passing of the Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Act in US, trade talks between China and US are still progressing with indications that a phase 1 of a deal will be signed before December 15 when 15% tariffs on USD160billion of Chinese imports kick in. This is especially since both countries have made concessions with regards to intellectual property rights, technology and food imports.
