5. The Minister of Women, Family and Community Devlopment Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri recently shared that Malaysia has surpassed our target to have more women in leadership roles. However, women participation in the workforce is still low, and the matter of under-representation in politics still remain. We hear from Dr Zaireeni Azmi, who is a researcher at the Centre for Research on Women and Gender at Universiti Sains Malaysia.

4. Noise pollution from the DUKE highway has been a big problem for the residents of Taman Tiara Titwangsa. Despite their complaints to authorities, serious measures like sound barriers have yet to be built. Dr Noor Hashimah Hashim Lim, a senior lecturer from the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at the Faculty of Built Environment of UM explains the impact of noise pollution, how sound barriers should work and importance of sound mapping.

3. The Niah Caves have been officially recognised as a Unesco World Heritage Site for it's rich archaeological and historical significance. We hear some thoughts from Romuald Siew, a resident of Niah, as well as Celine Lim, the Managing Director of Sarawak-based NGO, SAVE Rivers.

2. The ongoing legal battle initiated by the Pos Lanai Orang A sli community to protect their land from a rare earth mining project. A. Sivarajan, an activist with Parti Sosialis Malaysia gives us updates on the campaign so far.

1. MCMC is set to implement social media licensing in January 2025, as part of a new regulatory framework to combat scams, online fraud, cyberbulling and sexual crimes. We dive into the details of the move with Watshlah Naidu, the Executive Director of the Centre for Independent Journalism.
