On the 30th of April, Nur Fitri Azmeer Nordin, a Malaysian MARA sponsored scholar was arrested and convicted by a London court for being in possession of images and videos of child pornography. Upon his conviction, MARA suspended funding and announced the cancellation of Nur Fitri's scholarship. But the council has since said that it will offer him a “second chance” and allow him to study at any of its institutions of higher learning upon the completion of his sentence. What do you think of MARA’s decision to offer a child pornography convict a second chance at education? Hear what our listeners had to say on this controversial topic on this edition of Talkback Thursday.
