In recent years, there has been talk about the interest decline in the teaching profession and the questionable quality in teachers today. It’s a sharp contrast to decades ago when teaching was held in high regard; it was the ultimate profession to get into. Teachers were knowledgeable, they had authority, students feared them, and parents left the disciplining of their children to them.
Are teachers adapting to the changing landscape of students and teachings today? What has worked in the past when teachers were so highly regarded? When we look at teachers we had then and the ones we have now, what went wrong along the way?
