Chinese New Year has come and gone and with it, a flurry of TV commercials- as expected every festive season. Some of them included Petronas’ Tau Fu Fah and rice brand, Bernas’ “Ka Fan” or “More Rice”. But there was an obscure CNY video making its rounds online that left many moved. The video saw Malaysian Chinese writing honest love letters to their parents which were delivered to them in the form of a singing telegram. The delivery of letters and the reactions of these parents were filmed and this resulted in a 10 minute short film aptly titled Project “Ai Le You”.
