According to WhiteHat’s 12th Website Security Statistics Report published last year, the annual average number of serious vulnerabilities discovered per website per year has seen a significant reduction year over year from 1111 in 2007 to 79 in 2011, however the damage costs of web security breaches have been on the rise.
